I say go for the rental. Even though highway mileage isnt that rough on a vehicle it is still added mileage. and the trip will be what 1400 miles? more?

Maybe with the storm coming this week. Otherwise it's dry.

Oh sorry, that was an inside joke.

I used to work at a place designing pre-fab wall panel sections and roof/floor trusses. The guy who owned the place was from AL, and a neighbor of mine when I was growing up. During our hot *** summers, he would set the a/c in the office to 85 and when we'd bitch about it, he'd say "Boi, it's a 100 outside and 85 in here, if you go outside and come back in, that 15 degrees makes a big difference and it'll feel cooler." He would get pissed when I'd walk outside and come back in to feel cooler every 15 mins. He eventually let us crank the a/c down 75.

Rednecks, pssh.
