I thought you were about 22, and I took the test at 14. And 14, 22, 30=66

Ok, so with my old age, I was thinking you were talking about when I took the driver's test, but now I remember it was when my dad got smart. Ok, 26 years.

I took my driver's license road test in one of these, 1981 Oldsmobile 98 Regency. Ours was all burgundy, inside and out. It was a nice car.

We had one of those. An 82, it was also burgandy. Sold it when we bought the Expedition. Had it 18 years and 102,000 miles. They were very good cars. Comfortable.

Took my drivers test in a 57 F series 3/4 ton. It was one that my brother and I resurected from the trees. No ammenties at all.
The examiner was not happy to ride in the beast.

How funny. We took that car from coast to coast a few times. Ours had well over 100,000 miles before they donated it to the high school. Good car.

Yep, took my test in August in East Texas, but back then, we did not expect to have air conditioning.

I took driver's ed too, but we still had to go to the DMV and take an actual drive with a trooper.

The only repairs ever done to that car in 18 years was remove the cat while in Abilene, then replace the cat when we moved to Fort Worth and replace the vinyl top after about 15 years. That cost $110!

My dad started teaching me how to drive when I was 12 on the road into camp and I was learning how to drive a manual at 15.

Everything I drove was a manual except that Buick. I had 5 cars before I had an auto, my new 65 Mustang when a senior in college.
