Been going through the lawyer stage with my stepson for 5 years now and it seems to be getting worse and he's 13.

I was always amazed at how much my dad learned and how intelligent he became when I turned 18.

I am actually dreading when he turns16 and starts asking for keys. I guess I should start looking for a car for him now that is as kid proof as it can be.

We got our licenses when we were 14. My mom took me down to take my drivers test on my 14th birthday and after passing, went to work that afternoon, driving an auto parts delivery truck. My dad and I had alread got a 50 Plymouth running as my first car. I started selling and trading and by my 16th BD, had my 4th car.

That's a year away for him here in South Dakota. They get to drive when they are 14.
Scary thought?

Well, it was about 30 years before you shattered the world's quietness with your entry.

I took my driver's test in one of these. 1953 Buick Century, 4 door, no air, no power steering, no power brakes. I even parallel parked it. Had to to pass.
