From lugging both the sets around recently they weigh about the same, give or take. I was averaging very similar MPG's with the 22's when I drove the highway miles to work.

Are you talking about your OEM wheels with the larger tires? Mine are no where near as heavy as my 305/50/20s. Plus the width is a kiler on mpg.

Yes. My rims/tires must not be as heavy as yours. I haven't had them on the scale but they seem about the same. The different tires really aren't too much wider than the other.

My 20" billets with tires are lighter then my old steel wheels with smaller then factory 235 series tires(the front setup in my sig)....
