Helped my future son-in-law move some furniture last night. His parents gave my Daughter and him their living room furniture, dual reclining sofa and love seat. Man the sofa and love seat was HEAVY. I'm paying the price today. :o

You are probably correct. I nearly killed myself last weekend moving a washer and drying out of the utility and the new set into the utility. Those steps from the garage with the quick turn were murder. I never will forget my son and I moving our piano into this house. Too many levels!

About Tuesday, you will no longer feel the pain.

Morning. I feel your pain Stealth but I think from the photographic evidence Jim would have just sat in a lawn chair and had a beer.

With age comes wisdom, at least for some of us.

I am getting there but sometimes my brains says you can do that and the next day my body says what the hell were you thinking.

Oh crap, do I have some piano moving stories... One involved moving a baby grand piano down a spiral staircase. That was fun....

One weird couch move one that was moved out via the second floor balcony. It was too big to fit out the front door, so we tied some straps to it and lowered it down from the balcony. I was the one sitting on the second floor balcony with my feet against the balcony for leverage easing the couch down to the ground with by straps. Fun fun fun.

I have some stories about carrying drywall up stairs and having to lean out over the railing to go around a corner with 4x12-5/8 drywall at about 150# a sheet that was fun. The real fun started when we started carrying 4x16-5/8 that weighed in at over 200# a sheet.
