Well, if Pam has the key, I think I better hope the guy here brings in some more Lil Cinnamon rolls. That will be my best chance. Save a long drive too.

Nice try Matt!

There were tornadoes all around here last night. Everything at our house is fine - it was just really scary for a while.

You already have kids in the house...that's enough!

Seriously, it just depends on what you're looking for - large or small breed, etc. For some people, the shedding is a problem, so they look for dogs that don't shed a lot. As far as house training, I believe that any dog can be house trained - your success depends on how much effort and consistency you put into the training. I have an American Bulldog that lives indoors. Lots of people would not consider that to be the ideal indoor pet - but she's perfect for me. With children around, you would probably want to stay away from the "bully" breeds.

We had 2 funnels that was spotted here last night, but neither touched ground.

So, with 2 kids running around, might be a good idea not to have a dog. Good point.

And that was the same key I was thinking you had too.

A small dog probably will not stand a chance with the 2 yr old come to think about it. He's a mean little fart.

My two cents is that kids need a dog. Especially boys. A dog teaches kids to love, responsibility(if they are part of the caretakers) and other lessons in life, such as losing a loved one. Personally, I think that kids that have had dogs or cats in their lifes grow up to be better, more well rounded adults. I think about any breed can be a house dog. You need to do some research on temperment and physical needs. For instance, you may want to avoid a long hair as they need lots of brushing. A Lab makes a great family dog, and can be a good inside dog if you bathe them regularly. One other thing, it can be very rewarding to get a rescue dog. They seem to understand when they have been saved. Plus, if you get one that is a year old or so, you miss all the difficult training and chewing problems.

You can probably tell, Pam did not have a dog as a child. See what I mean?
