TruckGuy, how far are you from Otis AFB on the Cape?

 

I am in mansfield, which is about 40 minutes from the canal. Is otis near the canal?

 

It's in between Buzzard's Bay and Falmouth and you do have to cross the canal if I remember correctly. I was up there in 1970 and 1974, way before you were even thought of !

Yup... my parents hadn't even met yet

 

A mall? When I was up there they still had Pilgrim's!

 

I forgot you were seasoned like Bluejay. I love the cape... I know the sandwich area pretty well for not living there. I can't wait to go down there at some point. Maybe I will take a rid down one weekend and look around. I love Shaume Crowle State Forest. Many many camping memories there as well as sucusset. Now I miss being younger just thinking about it

 

They had a nice area around John's Pond if I remember correctly. Not too far from the base.

Yeah... the cape is one of my favorite places... I used to spend so much time there camping. I can't wait until I settle down and have kids. I want go camping with them and do things like my parents have done with us so far. Life is too short not to do these things.

You ever going to come up to MA anytime soon?

No, we shipped out some load's Friday going to Cummington over in the Western part of Mass. I was in the Air Guard year's ago and used to go up to Otis AFB for training.

 

If I felt any younger I'd be squeezing pimples right now!!
