Didn't you wait awhile after getting the Lightning wheels? I'm the impatient one. I picked mine up and put them on in the dark.

I am just amazed that you have not thought about this before now.

I had tires about a month before i bought the wheels, then had the wheels for 3 or 4 days in boxes before i had a free afternoon to mount them :santa:

Me too. I was counting on Patrick doing it and never really thought about what they might do. Plus, this is the first time I have had aftermarket wheels when getting an alignment. Just was not thinking. I am going by the dealer after work and let them look to see what they think. If they say they might scratch them then I will reschedule.

i mean technically they should mount the sensor on the outer lip of the wheel where the tire bead is, but sometimes the on off process can cause a small scratch. accidents happen sometimes

I think a lot depends on how much bulge the sidewall has, doesn't it? mine have very little.

yes, and it helps to have newer or brand new tires that still might have a little installation lubrication on them so the sensor feet slide in easier

My wheels are still sitting in the barn, waiting on tires.

My cousin from Kentucky just told me he bought a new 2009 F150 FX4 pickup. He's in the USAF.

I told him to come here. Poor guy's going to be broke!

Stealth, thanks for raising the wheel question. Went by Babkston and Landon took a look. The machine won't fit on the Roush wheels. So, I rescheduled for next Friday. I get to change the wheels out.
