Has it started using oil/ Is it having a problem? Why would you change? I'm old school and don't like changing an oil after an engine is used to it. Another thing, many have experienced leaks after going to synthetic on older engines. If you're bent on changing, I would just go to Motorcraft blended.

It doesnt use oil, but my rear main seal leaks. Ive got 112k so maybe i should stick with the regular...The only reason i was thinking of switching is because ive always used Pennsoil even though i know it sucks.

Any recommendation on a better oil then..?

If it has 112,000 and is not burning excessive oil, I would keep using Pennsoil. If I bought your truck from you, the first thing I would ask is what oil were you using. I would continue using that same oil. There is nothing wrong with Pennsoil.

You're pretty much an honorary slacker.

Blackedout, keep in mind, that is my opinion and how I have always done it. Someone else will completely disagree, so just do what feels right. My Dad was a mechanic and a lot of my attitudes come from his teaching.

Everyone in South Louisiana has to know how to float! Just remember the warm water may not always be caused by the sun! Have fun
