any of you guys have experience with ankle surgery?

Well I do have my shoes off.

 

ha i just scheduled another ankle surgery for after fishing season, and this ones gonna be nasty.

my doctor said at least 13 weeks in a cast, so im kinda worried about it

 

I was in a cast for a couple of months for a severe sprain, but no surgery.

 

i see. i have to have my whole foot reconstructed because i shattered both the growth plates and tore all the tendons and ligaments in my foot. the hospital said it was the worst break they'd ever seen. it was a nasty sight to see.


but now i get to goto a specialist thats $750 just for a check up

I hope so. They are drying and I will take the tape off and then I'll see.

My father in law fell off a ladder once from about 12 feet and had a compound fracture of his ankle, almost had to amputate his foot, but they were able to save it. He had those halos on his leg for a long time. I think they had to fuse some stuff together. He walks a little funny, but he still fishes in his Bass Tracker
