While I am a Garth Brooks fan and there are many songs that I like of his, the absolute best, hands down, no contest, greatest Garth Brooks song of all time is in fact: "The Dance"

I also like "That Summer" though. It is a close second for me.

There -- rant over.........
I digg your rant I liked him when he came out in the late 80's. After that...he can burn...

I like his older stuff more. I cannot pick a single one, but:

My top picks:

How you ever gonna know
Standing outside the fire
The Red strokes
AHBA
Much too young
Callin' Baton Rouge
We Shall be Free
Aint going down

Othe good ones:
Do what you gotta do
Midnight Cinderlla
The Dance
Friends in low places
Papa loved moma
Squeeze me in
Wrapped up in you
Fever

The Dance is a good one, probably his most popular song of all time, especially outside of country lovers.

I like the lyrics for She's every woman. My wife does not understand the song at all.
Night I called the old man out is funny.
I also really like Santa Looked a lot like daddy.
