I had a b-new A/C compressor and didn't get around to get the thing installed until I had all my ducks-in-a-row--7-8 months. The real bummer was that it only had a 6 month warranty on it, and the first time I took it out, it started giving me a rumbling noise on the highway. The clutch finally quit on it a week or two later. I'm contemplating putting my old compressor's clutch on it to see if the clutch was what caused the rumble, or just say the heck with it and either rebuild my old one and put it in, or wait until I get a newer engine to put in and use the unit on that one. I don't know.

Anyway, in answer to the thread, about 7 months.

I had a new front end for my old car for about six months before it was painted & fitted but then I did not drive it in the snow. I am waiting for a polished fuel cap to come in the mail & so far that seems to be a long wait as JC Witney who I am getting it from have not even got it yet!!!
