lift kit questions

i want to put a lift kit on my 1986 f150 but i know absolutely nothing about lift kits so here we go...i want the truck to be extremely capable off road as i can pretty much off road 3 days a week.. i also want it too look extremely good when im driving around town as well.. so what i was thinking was a 4 inch suspension lift... how much do you think that lift would cost? what would be the preferred lift to get (from what company etc)? what is the advantage of a suspension lift over a body lift?

keep in mind i am a complete noob to lift kits..

thanks in advance

That right there is the reason not to get a body lift.

go with suspension over body lift...you might have better luck if u put this in the suspension section...
