Joshmac4.6,It's a 460 if it was a smallblock

the thermostat housing would be in the front of the intake not on top like the 460.The vacuum advance is locked out and the Aluminum Cobra Jet heads are based off the 429 Cobra Jet Heads from 1970.The car had a 4 cylinder in it when i bought it,first pass down the track with the 460 in it was a 11.318 at 119.460 mph.

Later Mark.

Yea I know its a big un, it has the big flat top distributor, and noticed the t-stat, and the high rise valve covers, the picture just made it look small. It looked like the advance was blocked, kinda figured since it was a "dragger" anyway, just putting it out there. But 11.3's huh, thats damn quick, I would love to find a nice notch thats affordable, but everyone knows they are a "desired" ride.

Do you see many notchbacks in North Carolina.

If you do they should be in good shape,i'm suprised i found the one i got in such good shape here in Northeast,Ohio. It was actually the first Mustang i looked at they were originally asking $1,995 for it .I passed at first then looked at some pieces of crap Mustangs. Then i noticed they dropped the price on the one i bought to $1,495 i ended up buying it for $1,130.00.They originally thought it had 39,000 miles on it but found out it had 139,000 miles that's why they sold it cheaper. The best 1/8 mile time was a 7.287 at 99.236 mph and best 60 ft. was a 1.661 Later Mark.

Mine has the tried & true 302ci. These small blocks can withstand a heck of a lot!

A few, I live in the mountains and they use lots of liquid bhrine salt solution, so many are rusty, and those that aren't will bring at least $3000 for a clean car, and some over $5000 I would love to have a notch, but I have a 64.5 with a 289, and am always in search of 64.5-66's, I have found about 4 that I'm interested in, I would love a fastback, and found one for $1200, it's a rolling car, but no motor/trans, the orig. white and no rust I'm after a 65 coupe with a C4 and a lightly built 302, I want a 1/8 mile toy, but I will finish my truck and get a 4/5spd to swap out the 3spd in my 64.5, and a 8.8"/9" to hold the torque the 7.5" just can't take. A notch is on my list, but after all those and possibly a 04 Cobra, but thats all a few $$$$$$ away.
