I had another brain fart today. This has happened about 5 times in the last little while. Luckily, nothing fell out by the time I got to the store.
How often have you taken off in your truck forgetting that the tailgate was down?
One time I took off and I had my socket set case opened up on the tailgate. Man what a mess that made. It took a while for a friend of mine and myself to pick up all the loose pieces on the road. What a wracket that made when it hit the road. Good thing I guess, otherwise I never would have known.

I'm pretty good about closing the tailgate, its locking it I keep forgetting to do

 

most of my stuff is in my tool box but i have alot a set of sockets as well. they were on top of my toolbox... when i relised and had turned around some ________ had jumped out and grabbed em.

 

I'm concerned. I don't usually forget that kinda stuff, but it sure has happened a lot lately.

 

Don't be concerned. Once we get into the second round of the playoffs, the denial of the Leafs not being there will have set in by then.

 

I'm watching the Calgary/San Jose game as we speak. San Jose sure is lookin good!

It's not like I'm working at the back of the truck using the tailgate as a workbench all the time, so I suppose when I do, and something sidetracks me, like running to the store to pick something up that I need or I'm missing, I jump in the drivers seat and take off forgetting about the tailgate.
