Jonesboro Arkansas

Anyone live there or near there?

I'm moving there in a few weeks for an "extended" business trip. I'll be there until the first of August.

Anything cool there? Anything to do really? I know Arkansas State University is there, so there should be somthing.

A guy I work with told me to look up a Shifter Cart track near there. Go carts that go about 70+ MPH. I gotta do that!

I'm about an hour east of east of Jonesboro, I go there about sometimes just to watch a movie, eat, go bowling, mall. Nothing spectacular to do but i'm sure you will find some way to pass the time. Memphis is about an hour and a 45 mins away if you get bored in jonesboro. If I remember correctly there are a few people on here from that area.

I will most certainly be going to Tunica. Gotta get my poker fix somewhere.

I haven't even been to Jonesboro yet. Only seeing things from the internet.

I graduated from A State a few years ago. Unless something has changed they don't call it Jonesboring for nothing. It is in a very dry county so forget about bars and clubs.

you can get alcohol at a few places. O'charlies, the outback, 501 club, I think there is another one but not %100 sure. yeah it's pretty boring, If you like the bar scene you'll probably be spending a lot of time in memphis on Beale streat lol.

I'll be working mostly, but I like to have a good meal with a beer sometimes for dinner.

I think those are the only resuraunts in jonesboro that sell alcohol, if your wanting to drink a few beers while BBQing at the house you can make the 15 min trip to Trumann, it's in poinsett county which isn't a dry county. It's just right down the road on the interstate.

The other option for a beer and burger would be to head up Hwy 49 to Roy's. Look for a junk pile and a bunch of cars. The place is a dump but the burgers are good and the beer is cold.

It's been a while since i've been up that way. Not much to do there. Your best bet is going to be Memphis for some fun. If you're feeling frisky head down to Little Rock for the weekend.

The 501 club has some good grub and drinks though.

Hope you enjoy your stay in The Natural State.
