Not to mention for 25K - 35K, you got a great performance motor in the LS1. Compare it to the 4.6L motor Ford offered in the Mustang, and the LS1 was the clear winner in that department.

Since Lutz took over at GM, the fit and finish portion has shown a marked improvement. If you look at an interior of say a GMC Acadia or even the new trucks, it's light years ahead of where they were 10 years ago.
Hopefully, they can come in with reasonable pricing for the new Camaro with the V-8..

The prices I mentioned were MSRP's. Before the announcement of being discontinued I saw several fully loaded WS6's Trans Am's going for about 28k. Still a little more than a stang as that time but IMO you get a lot more performance for just a little more coin.
Myself I waited too long to buy one, I had to travel a few hundred miles to get one that I wanted since I missed the dead line to order one by less than a week. So I ended up paying near sticker.

Admitting defeat is a lot more honorable than sticking by it no matter what.

I love the looks of those cars, from that standpoint the Mustang doesn't have a chance. There was a burnt orange one with the big hoodscoops in my hometown when I was in highschool (it might still be there, I haven't seen it for a couple years though).

They just look plain mean, I love it.

I'll give credit where it's due. Heck I think that stangs are little nicer quality and make a better daily driver than the F-body's too. I just couldn't bring myself to buy one. I love Ford trucks but when it comes to performance cars I'm nothing but GM.

At the time I bought my 91 5.0L, I was also looking at F-Body's but they were more expensive with the same mileage as the Mustang I bought.

That and I always hated the huge hump on the passenger side on the floor....

No one can argue that the LS1 is an awesome motor though. I mean throw a couple thousand of dollars at them and they're sick.

That hump sucks severely. I've only set in the passenger side once and I told myself that was the last time I'm doing that. The thing that sucks is that I'm 99% sure that on 98-02's that hump doesn't have to be there but GM didn't bother to spend a little money to take it out
