Need Help On How to Generate Traffic to my Forum

Hey guys, dont know if yall remember but about 4 months ago i started a fishing forum. As of right now i have 113 members and over 400 post, the problem is it is really starting to slow down. What are your suggestions to get the traffic up and advertise this site a little more?? Thanks so much for the help! The site is www.TheLocalBite.com

more sponsors. throw your name out there on other sites that you are a part of. basically just tell your members to spread the word

Offer some type of contests.. like win a fishing Rod or lure or something..

or whoever makes xxx posts gets a free such and such

Or... link exchanging, ads, murder, or espionage.

Just spam alot of other forums to get your name out there. (j/k) it will get you a bad name
Or try to advertise on different websites or donate alittle or sponsor a fishing tournament. My brother in-law is fishing this tournament and it's pretty big and you might be able to hook up with them. http://www.offshorerodeo.com/
You also can try to get the info out to other fishing clubs.

Do some research, stay away from the forums that try to tell you they all know how to trick the search engines, and design your pages for those specific search engines.

If you are willing to spend a few bucks, do a search for Web Position Gold software. We used it and got great results. It's cheap and does what it is made to do. We got a lot of traffic, sales from a number of countries, and lots of interest in the site. I had never dealt with the search engine optimization stuff before, so this software was the ticket.

I have no affiliation at all with the company.
