Thumbs up The check is in the mail...

Which check am I referring to? The one to pay off my 2007 SCREW FX4! I bought her new just 9 months ago and now the title will be MINE! I'm so !@#$ excited to keep that $613 a month in my checking account from now on that I just had to share it with everybody. For those that haven't seen my truck, feel free to look at my gallery...my boat is in there too and I just paid it off a couple months ago (about 5 years early). WOOHOO!

Good feeling isn't it!?!? Although paying a new truck off in under a year, is pretty impressive, must not have much in the way of expenses, that or a great paying job......are you guys hiring????

GREAT feeling. I have a mortgage just like the average American, and the value on that property has taken a dive lately just like nearly everyone else's, but one thing that helped me pay off my boat and truck early is that I don't have ANY unsecured debt. Would I like to spend money on things I don't need on a credit card? Absolutely...but I've learned the hard way that it's not a wise move and I won't make that mistake again.

We're always hiring...

I can't wait to have that feeling again. My truck and the wifes Accord will be paid off in about 9 months and we'll be debt free, except for the house of course. Hopefully I'll finally be able to buy a boat next year

That's awesome man. My goal is to finish maxing out my 401(k) for the year and have about $50k for emergency expenses in my high-yield savings account by the end of October now that the truck and boat payments are out of the way. BTW, I love the look of those Firebirds/Trans Ams!

You must have a good paying job to be able to save $50k in 7 months, on top of house payment and 401(k).
BTW you can donate a check to my bank for my truck if you want to, you can use it for a tax write off.

A good paying job does help, however too many people miss the point that it's not as important that you make a ton...it's more important what percentage of that wealth a person doesn't give away to the wrong people (the aforementioned unsecured debt). There are absolutely situations where people just can't help it when they get in a tight, but most of us spend money we don't have any business spending. I've personally known people that made over a million a year that are flat broke...

Your request for making a donation to your truck fund is entertaining, but I plan to make my donations towards those who aren't as fortunate as you and I to be the proud owners of the best selling truck on the road.

I think that when you make that last payment & you have the Title in your hand you should drive down to your dealer & trade up to a F-450 King Ranch 6.4 PowerStroke...........& then pay that off in a year!......Now that would be cool........ Gongrads!.........

Dept free? I have yet to experience this. What is it?
University student + Brand new truck = Dept until I'm at least 30. (Not including mortgage)

Paid off the wife's car last December, but I still have my truck payment and my daughter's car payment. It's a vicious cycle.

I'm going through the same thing right now with the 2008 Fat Boy! Candy Red of course!....I'm retiring from my present job in June! With my severance $$$ I will just buy one cash. I've got my eye on another job in the meantime! If I get it, I'm definetly going to pull the trigger on it! One dealer is offerring $2000.00 worth of free upgrads/accessories to boot!.....Ohhh the pain!....
