fo shizzle.

I'd pick A. Then you can make it really custom, by doing it yourself. Plus the low mileage is nice.
Unless you plan on getting rid of this as soon as you dumped your truck. Then pick whichever you want.

Which is EXACTLY why I would pick neither without even looking at the exhibits mentioned.

Let's not pretend that Euro cars are models of reliability.

Fit and finish? Yes.

Money savers they are not.

nothing wrong with used cars, or a BMW that has had Inspection I and Inspection II done to it, though not sure if many people knwo what that is unless they have had a bmw before and had it done before.

im probably going for the Steel Grey one or the stock black one i found on autotrader, saying this guy goes through with buying my truck.

BMW is THE most reliable car on the planet, after the first five years of ownership.

I'd go for low mileage and as close to stock as you can get.

I'd go (A) low miles, stock.
Plus, A is a Texas car, B is a New York car.

I bought an '02 Lexus from NH.
Even though it was garaged, it was eat up underneath.

thats because if your car doesn't break down or have a major defect in the first five, it'll probably last a while. I worked at a BMW dealership for a while and one problem is there are a number of known defects in almost every model (some more than others). The worst part is that BMWNA for the most part is aware of these defects and instructs the dealers to just replace the part. For example, a lot of 3 and 5 series come in with their interior grab handles peeling. All the dealer can do is replace the part, hope it doesn't come in for a few months again.

Beautiful cars, I would just never buy one unless i could afford to treat it right.

Omg I Hate You

That is the car man. Its not the fastest or most powerful or whatever people say, but it is the ultimate driving machine. She cruises like a luxury car and rocks like a sports car. As for reliability, you can't beat a straight 6. PERIOD.
My BF has a 1998, the last year of the 4 door. One owner car, 5spd and the most fun car I have ever driven. Straight line acceleration straight to 155.
Don't think for one second this is a car you won't be able to maintain. The engineering of the car is wonderful. You have an oil bath type filter on top of the motor. The drive line can be replaced in your driveway with simple tools. Everything is accessible to some degree.
I hate you because I want one, but the Mrs. and I agreed to be debt free this year and thats how it will be.
Congrats on your soon to be purchase and know your face will hurt from grinning ear to ear.

Hold off till the new body style comes out in a couple months. Then, there will be plenty of the old ones for you to choose from.

For the original question, I would buy a lower mileage vehicle with no mods before I bought a higher mileage vehicle with lots of mods.

I would honestly chose (A). A higher mileage car is one thing, then the fact that the guy put those parts on mean only that he is into performance, and drives the car harder (most likely) then (A) has.

The "new" M3 is V8 powered and been out for a year or two now.
The ones he is looking at are the 3.0 liter, 300hp motor. That was their claim to fame, 100hp per liter.
