MP3 Player issue...

So I decided to pick one of these things up a couple of months ago. Finally threw on about 125 songs off of spiralfrog.com and was enjoying the music on the long flights and drives where I don't get radio signal. Just the other day I tried to get the music going and this message comes up...

"Synchronize to continue your music subscription"

The songs show up, but it won't play them. Does this have something to do with the songs I downloaded from sprial frog, or do I need to do something with my MP3? Hopefully there is an easy answer as I've got a flight coming up and a 200 mile round trip with no radio on Sunday.

werd up

The song files have an embed in them... After 1, 2,5, etc plays, whatever was set, it has that message displayed. Ever watch a porno clip and have popups? Digital signed... digitally embedded. Try using frostwire from frostwire.com and getting some real mp3's.

Look for dallas green

I was curious if it was something like that. Kind of pisses me off being that I spent so much time downloading that music and now it is no good. I'll give that other site a try.

Why yes, yes I have.

When you try to "synch" up, it will ask you to pay...

http://www.spiralfrog.com/pages/support.aspx

SpiralFrog is categorized as a "subscription service" by the portable device specifications. If a device works with Napster To-Go, Rhapsody To-Go or the Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscription service, the same device should also work with SpiralFrog.

Note that some of the portable devices do not list their level of DRM (Digital Rights Management) support clearly or use consistent terminology. All the subscription services mentioned above require Windows Media Player version 10 or 11 to support the DRM placed on each downloaded file.

It is also possible that a device claims to support Windows DRM files, but in fact supports only purchased (non-expiring) tracks - and has Windows DRM 9 level support only.
THE DRM is what is raping you. Stay away from places that offer music for cheap or free music if you download their software manager....

As I said... www.frostwire.com. Anything your little heart desires.

Thanks again for your help. I checked out frostwire and downloaded it. To download music it took me to www.download.com/music From there I can listen to music and make playlists, but I'm not seeing how to download the songs from there. Am I missing something or should I be looking at a different site?
