I feel the same way, my last truck was a Dodge and it wasnt that bad. Ford really has the upper hand in about every catagory, but I would buy another Dodge long before I walked onto a Chevy lot

There are those out there that will argue that the 04+ F-150's ride too much like a car too.

One reason my dad likes his old GMC is that is low and easy to get into, which seems to be a common consensus among older drivers. He has had that thing places and done things that I wouldn't take my offroad buggy (Ranger) to do and has yet to get it hung up. They should really offer the height as an option, because whether you have it or not you are limiting your potential buyers.

The ride height is what I meant about being too much like a car. I don't have anything against a smooth ride but when it comes to a 4x4 truck I want it to sit up fairly high! My 2wd F150 sit's almost level with a 4wd Chevy. That was a big plus I liked about the Dodge it makes you feel almost like it has a 2 or 3 inch lift kit compared to the Chevy. Since my truck is a 2wd I will also be including an F150 Fx4 into my comparison's though I've already driven one but i'm gonna try and keep the comparison's as accurate as possible by using brand new trucks when the previous Fx4 I drove was an 05 with 60,000 miles.

I love a truck with a big cab even though i'm only about 5'10 but I like having more than enough room instead of not enough! Yea the Chevy is quick but is not very torquey! I think most of the benefit is coming from the aggressive shifting tranny. The stretch of road i'm comparing these trucks on consists of hill's, fairly sharp turns and some small bumps. One thing I forgot to mention was the breaks! The Chevy's breaks are touchy compared to the Ford's or Dodge's it doesn't take much effort to get the Chevy to stop but if your not careful you'll lock the tires up quick. It's not necessarily a negative point since you get used to it quick but the first time I went to stop I almost hit the darned dash cause it just locked all four wheels up something I have never had a problem with on my Ford nor with the Dodge.
