I got a stencil and spray painted their names on the outside of the ammo containers as well. Turned out pretty well.
That's a pretty sweet idea.

None taken.
I think it has potential, but I'd think of other stuff to go in the boxes. My brother would like it the best because he's a redneck, but I think I might stick with the flasks, and something to go in them, instead.

I gave each of my groomsmen a Leatherman. Flasks are pretty cliche in my opinion.

You're probably right. I'd much rather have some crappy watch, or an engraved mug that i'll never use, or some stinkin key chain. Those are all much better ideas!

A knife, Zippo, Leatherman, Ammo can, case of MRE's... those all work.

Skip the whole engraving part... save your money... no self respecting dude wants to carry around something with the date of YOUR wedding on it.

In my wedding, I gave some of the smaller leatherman knife tools that fit on the keychains. I think they cost about 30 or so. One of the best gifts I ever had was a small swiss army knife. I put it on my keychain and had it forever until I was too lazy to return it to my car at the airport. Considering you can get a new one for about $10, it just wasn't worth it to walk out to my car. The $10 also helps a ton on your budget as well. Most guys won't care one way or another.

I received an engraved flask once for being in a wedding. I have never used it. I would probably skip that idea. Who drinks out of a flask anyway?

The ammo can idea sounds encouraging as well. Just pick a theme on what you want to put in there and go with it.

Or, you could just help pay for the tux rentals. That is the biggest gripe most groomsmen have. Unless you are already doing this.

Here's a site that can give you some ideas. Might be a little late to order from them, but there are some unique gifts.

I received a leatherman for being in a wedding, probably the most practical gift. But get the real one, no chinese crap. I have been in 10 weddings and have received all the engraved junk that sits in my cupboards, not worth it. Although I did get an engraved stainless steel can cooler that I use all the time. I use when I am camping or hanging out on the boat. They were just engraved with our last names or nick names. That may be a good gift.

I like the Leatherman idea. At least that's something that I know they'll get some use out of.

Now... does anybody have these Leatherman's and how do you like them?
The Kick - on clearance at Wal-Mart for $20 - It's $29.99 @ ****'s
The Fuse - 34.99 @ ****s, ($38.94 at Wal-Mart) and I have a 20% off coupon. I like this one better, but I'm also cheap. But if it's significantly better I'll get it. That's why I need some reviews.
I'm not springing for the $80 ones.
