Exclamation Time Change

Don't forget to change your clocks an hour forward before you go to bed....especially if you have to work in the a.m.

Yeah... gee thanks...

You stole my thread or else you were reading my mind... or both.

Thanks, though...

I wish someone would explain to me how getting up an hour earlier in the dark, saves energy. I wish the government would leave clocks alone!

No time change where I live. Kind of nice because now I can watch the news at 10:00 instead of 11:00.

to save energy... in AZ they use the ac 1 hour longer which practically negates the entire purpose and i know its more expensive to run

Exactly! Here we have an extra hour of daylight in the evening, but we get up in the dark an hour later. A trade off, so where is the savings. I hate it! That hour in the early moring is my most solid sleep time.

The last couple weeks have been nice. When my alarm went off, the sun was coming through the window which made it MUCH easier to push myself out of bed for work. With the time change it's going to be dark again for another 2-3 weeks.

But hey, I'll get to turn my lights on an hour later in the evening, which will offset the hour longer they're on in the morning.

Without the time change wouldn't that make sunset at 4pm and 10pm at the extremes or am I missing something?

When I read the title I though it was "Time to Change" and there would be some profound bit of wisdom that would invoke some personal change at a deeper level. But I realized this is a truck forum, not Dr Phil's self help and awarness site.

I heard the rumor that the time change will be phased out in the next 4-6 years. Anyone heard this?

I certainly hope not! I figure we are on DST almost 8 months out of the year, lets just go ahead and do away with standard time

Only if we make the work day 9-6! I do my deepest sleeping in that hour before dawn. I do not need to be awakened when it is so dark! I might go psycho some day! I go to bed late and sleep from about 2:30 til 6:20, when I have to get up. My sytem rebels with anything else.
