I applaud him for his oustanding credentials, the records he has set, and all the times he has kicked the Bears ****. I will miss watching Brett play. I know all my freinds will be crushed, they have loved him more and more over the years.

i will rub it in, just a little bit. HAHA I cant believe this. Kinda happy, but it sucks.
Classy post Ya had to hate him...and love watching him.

You know maybe I am just getting older, but he was one of the few left that we knew much more about. The rivalry with Aikman, Farve, and Young when they all were on good teams was great to watch. I guess it helps that these were the guys that I grew up watching. As a die hard Cowboys fan it brought tears to my eyes when Aikman held his press conference. I am sure it will be the same if I get to see Farve's. No matter what you think about him, you definately have to respect him and what he has done. The guy has not missed a game in forever. I could go on and on. Great guy and hate to see him leave the game.

I find it odd that he still hasn't held a press conference on it. Only that voicemail that he left on Mort's machine. Listening to that, he definitely sounds like a man who is not too sure he's making the right choice and sounds like he's mentally under a lot of stress, which explains the "mentally tired".

I have this nagging feeling that he'll come back before camp starts. I just think the Packer's management needs to start positioning themselves to have the doors open for him to come back. Sure you could say by the numbers, maybe Rogers could put up the same number of wins; but Favre is going to sell you more tickets, put up those winning numbers and really give you committed fans. Regardless of interceptions, the guy can't be debated as a good or bad quarterback. I mean look at the records he broke.

Yup I watched the entire hour plus of it during my lunch. Just as I expected, classy guy to the end and extremely personable. Still not quite sure how one could hate or not like him, other then jealously or out of a good ol'fashion rivalry from a sports point of view. From a "just a man" standpoint, I'd have to say he's very likeable.

I wish him all the best.
