I don't think it will be completely eclipsed until about 10:00 PM EST, but it should start in a few minutes.

its supposed to go dark right? Isnt it supposed to be in the shadow of the earth?

Yeah, it ( the moon) looks like moldy cheese(dark yellow-black) here. Came inside because high clouds+ light pollution ruined it for me.

Yes the moon went dark, but it still had a slight glow to it.

Yup, it's the Earth's shadow.
