Typical, someone from Alabama has not figured out that they need a boat...

P.S. People from down south do it all the time.

I guess the same can be said about pretty much alot of resources and commodities. Look at steel for instance. That is something that we typically don't notice, just in the end we pay for it eventually. The thing is, it's not like I'm getting paid more to offset the rise in prices, something will have to give. It just sickens me that we all are paying for China's prosperity. That was another reason why we'll continue to pay high gas prices, chinese demand is increasing like wild fire. Rewarding a country that has little pollution standards, putting the blame on us, so they raise prices hoping within a year, we will all drive foreign made Prius'. FU<K them.

I'll give our Prime Minister one thing, he seems tired of having to lower pollution and figure this out by such and such a time says KYOTO protocol. He's like wait a minute, anyone look over what's coming from Asia there? Ya, we have a huge pollution problem here in Canada, all 30 million of us mostly in Ontario. China has something like 10 times the population of Canada alone that drive.

Sorry people, this gas price bull pisses me off because there is no logical justification, just assumptions and mostly greed.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Where you going? My round trip to California and back plus driving out there was right under $800... About 4000 miles.

Lets not stop at Alaska... we have plenty of oil here off the coast. Drill for it! And build modern refineries to keep up. Gas will be down below $2 again. Oh wait..... the dumbocrats won't let us drill for oil or build more refineries.. but they want to put .52 cents more tax per gallon on us!! Wake up people.

I'm coming back via Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and North Dakota - completing my quest to set foot in all 50 states. Gas out here is above 3 bucks again and climbing fast. I saw a Valero today here in town getting $3.85 for diesel (87 gas was $3.19). I filled up at Costco yesterday morning at $3.01 and went up to LA and back, I'm down to 1/4 now.

Why didn't I think of that...Haul a gas guzzeling boat to the river (nearest river access 5 mile), go down stream about 6 miles because of an island between, then back up stream (that's 17 miles so far), walk about 1 mile to work (there's a plus). Total 18 miles to work by boat. Yeap, much better than 25 by land. Oh yeah, gotta haul it back up the mountain when I get back across. Can't leave it since it WILL get stolen. Sounds like a plan ...Typical Texan

Ya... I hear ya.

I remember when I could take a trip down to Florida for about $200 in gas one way... and that was with over night idling.

Now it'd cost me damn near $500 one way. It's getting real bad, quick.
