Interesting? I guess. Predictable? Of course. They are both prime examples of true politicians... just out to get the votes and they will change their minds as the vote calls for it. Pathetic.

I wish the Arkansas senators would have abstained instead of a vote of AYE

Those who speak out against the Government need to be identified and silenced. This is a good step in that direction.

That has truth to it. But where do you draw the line?
Our freedom is being encroatched.

Have you ever read the constitution? If not, you should. It's that big golden brown piece of paper that establishes the law of the land here in the U.S. Voting for that bill directly violates the constitution, regardless of it's suggested effectiveness.

It's a shame that people like you just can't wait to give up your freedoms to the government all because it has you pissing yourself with fear over the threat of terrorism. I guess when they pass a bill to take your guns away, you'll justify that it was needed to keep them out of the hands of terrorists. And how about your right to freedom of speech. You do realize that H.R. 1955 takes that freedom away from you should your government not like what you're talking about all on the premise that you might be a terrorist.

btw, the tin foil hat comment just proves your ignorance on this issue. Good try though...

our freedom is not being incroached. I understand your concern, but this bill was not out of line at all. The terrorists are not criminals. They are combatants. We are at war. Servelence is totally justified while we are at war. It is really scary that you all have such conspericy ideas

AMEN! This Government is getting Way too Big and Wayy to Bold. I'm for a smaller Government that Leave's me alone.

Next thing you know they'll start "Profiling" me because I have a bunch of guns, or because I have an OffRoad Capable Truck, Or I'm an Outdoorsman (aka Survivalist)

If I'm not breaking any laws, the "Man" doesn't need to be listening in on my phone or E-mail conversations.

They've already Over turned a few of these Patriot Act laws because they were Unconstitutional, What else are they doing??

If they're so worried about protecting us, why don't they Fix the holes in our Boarders! They're scanning my Laptop at the Airport, while Who Know's Who is just walking over from Mexico.

This is all a bunch of BS until they fix these boarders IMO...

Rant over...

I'm familiar with the Constitution, and see no loss of my freedoms or rights in such an act. As it only affects me if I'm found to be making foreign calls involved in terrorists acts, I can think of thousand of everyday things such as a drivers license that affect my freedom and privacy much more than the extention and modifications of this act which has been around for quite a while.

This act is no more imposing on my freedom than a cop with radar is. Neither affects the people not violating the law.

And if you think I'm pissing myself in fear over terrorism, it really shows how little you know about me. If you want to debate facts, deal with facts.

We have been at war for 6000 thousand years.

I see a bad conspiracy, no make that plural for th future. The things we are talking about are just the issues on the surface.
remeber "big brother is watching"

Sounds stuppid.
It is a violation of the Bill of Rights.
It can lead to a different society than you know.
