WinRar help....

So heres the dealio...I downloaded a trial verson of Winrar a few months back so I could open up some documents. Well now I need to open up some more documents, but I have a little problem. Apparently, WinRar is only a 40 day trial, and after 40 days you have to either buy a Licsense or uninstall if from your computer, otherwise its pretty much worthless and takes up space. No problem I figured, I uninstalled it and downloaded it again, figuring it would give me another 40 days...hell no. Says Ive already used up my 40 days. Ive uninstalled it a few times and tried downloading it again, even tried downloading an older version with no luck.

So does anyone know how I could get past this stupid ish so I could open my damn tunes???

Thank you

You could steal it maybe. Do you have any expierence downloading torrent files? You could use a program such as bitcomet, you need to download bitcomet first, and then go to a website like isohunt.com and download what program you want. Make sure the one you get says "with crack".

Never done anything like that before...should work you think, eh?

What does 'with crack' mean?

After the 40 days, doesn't it just give a few seconds of a countdown timer on the "I agree" button that makes you wait a few seconds? That's the way my copy works.

The crack is a program that makes up a legit serial number so you can use the program you downloaded. Its all explained when you download it, the main thing is make sure your internet is off when using the crack.

As said above I thought Winrar was nagware after the trial it just keeps reminding you to buy with a time lag until it opens. You could download it off of a torrent or usenet site.

Another way is to use a program that intercepts the system time and inserts one of your choosing like the day after you installed it. Search for "runasdate" in google it's the first results from Nirsoft.

Nice simple utility with no install or extra files needed. Just browse for the exe of the file "winrar.exe" set the date and time and click run. You can also add a shortcut to your desktop so you dont have to open the runasdate program everytime.

Or you could just break down and buy the software but I am sure you just want some more time to evaluate before you buy

7Zip. Free. Opens RAR files. It just can't create them.

I've had my "Evaluation Copy" of WinRar on my computer for like 3-4 years. It simply reminds me to register it after the initial 40 day trial period, and it has never "become useless and taken up space."

I am failing to see the issue here.

Now I just have a conflict between my tunes and Xcal2 Getting new tunes with the right serial number sent out tomorrow though
