oh brother...literally!

I work in Hartford Connecticut....I hate working in the city, but it pays the bills.
Tonight there is a rally between 3 and 5:30 featuring good ol Barrack Obama (sp?). Unfortunately its at the Civic Center only a few buildings up from where I work. They are already closing roads, beefing up security etc... Should be a f'ing zoo trying to drive home tonight at 5

I hope this idiot isnt our next President

I was offered a job just east of hartford a few years ago. Nice salary, hours, enviroment... but no way was I going thru the city to and from work every day. I'd kill someone!

Good luck getting home tonight.

I live in Suffield- a small farming town. Going to work in the city was a huge adjustment. I saw my first handgun pointed at me. Got my truck hit by a jerk off last summer, and had my first experience with a clown attempting to mug me for my iPod....but all this pales in comparison to the traffic every day in and out of the city.

I worked in Hartford for a year. I came in the backway through Bloomfield onto Asylum. Not bad at all. 91 and 84 can suck big time.

I had a friend who worked across the street from the White House. He likes Bush because he's not a partyer. Said that Clinton always was headed out to some function right about when he was to get off work. Said the roads could be closed for hours with him waiting to get home. Bush...not so much.

I work in Windsor now, all the farm land is going bye-bye and being replaced with offices and/or warehouses.

yeah Windsor is going Industrial, and the funny thing is when I was looking for jobs....they are building these massive places- but none of them are never hiring!!! I

usedto ride at a sandpit off Rainbow Road. There was a nice track- I got into Jet Skis for awhile, when I got a bike again, I loaded up up and went to the track....but it was a housing development now!

There's a new indoor track on DayHill. Can't remeber the name. Huge complex, Doogies, D&D, Blimpies, and a bike parts store. Check it out if you still ride. I don't so I can't tell you if it's any good. Looks pretty cool.

Hey! You Connecticut guys! Look around and if you find anything you think I left behind, you can have it! I was born there in the very early 40's and if you think you've seen changes...

For the last 5 years or so, I wouldn't leave the house without my pistol. When the bullets started through the front porch, I had enough. I left, never to return. New Britain WAS a nice city. Years ago. Now, there is no nice city. And, anyplace that is still nice is only so temporarily.

I don't miss it a bit!
