Because they were playing at Yankee Stadium. The found lots of cheap land 5 miles from midtown Manhattan and the rest is history. After the first Superbowl in 1986 people had shirts made up that said "NJ Giants". They were sued and had to stop selling them. I live two miles from Giants Stadium. More than half of NJ is Giants fans. I don't care where they play......I LOVE MY NY GIANTS!!!!!
