botox for pain

I've heard of strange things , but this is working.
I was kinda wild in my younger days;
bungi, scuba, ski kite, hang gliders, homebuilt aircraft, jetski, dirt bikes. atv,
etc: I'm paying for all of it now.
I've had surgeries on arm several times. epidurals, marcain , bone fusions in my spin.
I now have cervical dystonia, my doctor sugested botox and marcain injections My instructions were bring a driver [2hour drive] take three of these zanex 1 hour before procedure. Man was i happy! The Dr. would wake me up to let me know another needle was coming and i kept hearing them chuckle, i have know idea what i said.
The ride home my stepson is driving[23yearsold] We turn off the interstate ~ statetrooper pulls us over, man i'm absolutly toast. The trooper gave son a warning ticket and never asks about me passed out in the passenger seat me my sunglasses hanging on my face. Any way made it home.

The next day i notice the next appointment was on a day i couldn't go back.
I called to change it and asked ,Exactly where did you inject. I was told my lower back. I'll be damn it had not hurt at all that morning.
If you have chronic pain ask your Doctor

I bumped this old thread because I wanted people with chronic pain to know.
If you have pain check out the botox.
Just a short time ago I would go to work in the morning, take a horizontal break for about an hour around noon, then come home and go to bed.
that was my life for about 3 years.
I still have more shots to go. but it's like I finally am getting better..
Good ****. I don't miss the old friend pain either.

I might have to kick some zza just for old time sake!!!!.

I not kidding!!! that works!!!

I severely fractured my L1 and L3. Destroyed my L2. Would this be something that'd work for me? I've been dealing with pain for 3 years now and nothing helps.

I'm not sure!
I have had one bone fusion in my neck. After the surgery the muscles do not work right. I have some other injuries to my spine. Markain shot[spinal were a waste of time], only worked for my L's. I got the first botox on thursday.
when I get off work today I plan to put my lawnmower back together.
It has been apart for 2 months, that is quite a different attitude than I had before the shots. They did hurt like hell, I can't imagine getting those in my lipps or for some other cosmetic reason.
Be sure to ask your Doctor. It is like a damn miracle.
I love that man....he saved my life.
I can't say enough about the difference. Now we'll see how long it lasts, in some cases it is not permanent.
