I just looked at my profile, and see I joined in 2001. It's been six years already?

Sheesh!

I knew about this site in 1999, I even mailed my first pics- (to someone in Texas, I thought...) and looked in the owners area later and found them?! This was long before the "affordable" digital camera days. I don't even know if there were "forums" back then. I see it took another 20 months before I joined- for some reason.

Perhaps I didn't want to be one of those internet "geeks" always logged into a "forum". Now, I'm beyond saving...

So, how long have you been a member?

Nine years.
I was in the market for a new F-150.
I found the site in Dec of '98.
I read every single post before I registered in Feb of '99.
There were about 750 members back then.

Ordered my truck based on the excellent info I got here
and still have it.

I joined 15 months after Raoul. Like him, I lurked first. Actually, I just tapped into his computer and followed whatever he did during that time. (I was working for the NSA back then and monitoring everything he did . . . turns out our suspicions about him were correct).

During that time I learned about the Lightning and bought one after reading all I could about them on this site.

I used to be pretty active on the Expedition threads, before we ran out of stuff to talk about. Then I started messing with those guys in the 2004 Forum, telling them the 2004 wasn't "all that". Boy, that ticked them off- but it made for some great debates.

Then one day- the 2004 thread was boring, the Expedition thread was dead, nothing much going on anywhere else (That Lightning thread was always going strong)- so I wandered down to GD, found a 15-page long T&A thread. Thought there was some cool guys here, and I've been here every since.

Well, the girls are gone now- for the most part. But, there's still some kool guys & gals here.
