green collar jobs

Have you heard about these "green collar" jobs? I guess some presidentential candidates are saying that they will work to create these types of jobs.

Here is a bit about what I found about "green collar" jobs.

urban habitat-Green Collar Jobs

John Edwards for President-Building One America in the New Energy Economy with Green Collar Jobs

I guess I'm not sure I understand what these jobs actually are. Wikipedia says that green collar workers are higher skilled workers yet others are saying that people in urban areas can be trained to do these green collar jobs.

So what is it? What are they going to raise our taxes for? To pay highly skilled workers to do work that is quite technical, yet short sighted? Or will it be to train people, people who could already have been trained to do other jobs but lack personal responsibility, who really find it easier to have less for nothing than work for something?

It's interesting. The trade that I'm in has always been about the enviroment, yet it's always been considered a blue collar job.

What do you think? How about these "green collar" jobs?

Whats next, Bluish Green jobs. Its ridiculous in my opinion. I don't think a job needs to be identified as white, blue, etc... I go to work, do my job and get paid. Nuff said
