Ford GT

What do you guys know about the Ford GT? On my way back from lunch today I spot a Grey Ford GT behind the fence at one of my stores in Richardson. I do a double take and see I'm not crazy, so I quickly park and walk over to it. While I'm walking over to it I hear it fire up. Well I round the corner thinking it is gone, when I see it has just been pulled up into a industrial building with a big garage door. Well the guy is getting out of the FORD GT and I say Howdy!

I ask him if I can just sneak a closer look at it since I saw it in the ally. He says sure come on in. Well he either owns or rents this space for his toys. Including a nice Ford Marauder he has under a lift holding a Panther sports car in the air. I got to chattin' with the guy and he notices I'm an Aggie and so is he! Well we exchange cards and he tells me to catch up with him soon and he will take me for a spin!!!

On a side note, he has 3 jeeps in there that are all the same. I'm not sure about them, I think an old ******. Well two of them are donors for his project Jeep that he shows part to me under the cover that is super nice. He has a monster 427 bored over with a ton of mods to it.

My questions are this... Teach me more about the Marauder, the Ford GT, and Panther. Also would it be weird if I contacted this guy about lunch since I did mention it and I'm across the walkway from him often? We have intrests in common besides the fact he is LOADED and I'm not.

How homo does this psot sound? I just want to play with his toys. Wait...I mean, I want him to take me for a ride. Wait... I'm not helping things am I? Crap.

Nothing wrong with appreciating a mans vehicles. I would call him up and take him up on that ride. You don't get to ride in a Ford GT too often. You never know he may be a cool guy and fun to hang out with.

i dont think its weird.

no big deal that hes loaded....he obviously aint the stuck up guys who thinks hes better than everyone if he stopped and chatted with you.

and if he said to call him up to talk more about cars and gave you his card, its not gay haha just call "no homo"

it would be gay if you just had randomly started talking to this guy for no reason and not related to cars.

but if two guys start talking because its over cars and trucks, its very manly (then does the tim the toolman taylor grunt).

Guilty. He's rich and he has lots of toys that go vroom-vroom. I might wear tighter clothes next time I see him.

There is a GT and 2 Pantera's a couple of blocks from me.

The GT has 3.5 miles on it. The pantera's have built motors with NOS. He just sold his Vector.

I wish I could get a ride in the GT but his son hasn't even got a ride.

You can check ot www.fordgtforum.com

Yes that is what I meant. There WAS a Panther, but you are correct. That is what I meant initially.

Maybe I can get some pics for you soon! I didn't get much of a look at his because it was under cover up on a lift. So all I saw was the silhouette of it. And those are sweet rides. Elvis had one. Can't beat that right?

Was the Marauder the new or old. The new is either 2003-04 mercury.
It has the 4.6L 4v motor. A/T floor shift, console gauges, exhaust, and only came in four colors. Neat car, not bad if you had to have a family sedan.

A friend of mine has a Ford GT, and had a marauder until recently. And yes I have driven both of them. The GT is unexplainable, breathtaking if you're not used to the acceleration. His only has 113 miles on it now. He has other collector cars that just are stored.

Get a ride in it, you'll like it.
