Did Ford build an '06/'07 Lariat with a column shift or does all of them only have the console shifter.

 

You could get it with the bench seat and column shift (as standard equip). It was optional for the buckets and floor shifter.

 

One of the local dealers has a FX4 with a column shift on their used lot:

I saw it the other day while dropping off one of my company Rangers.

 

You know, some of us nutbags actually want the center seat / column shift layout. It's a seating capacity and kids thing...

 

Not only that, but it makes cleaning a whole heck of a lot easier (especially if kids spill some grape juice on the floor shifter)... not to mention it looks like a REAL truck inside.

Automatic floor shifters are for cars. Not trucks (unless it is stick..)

 

I guess I have a FAKE truck then.

My Lariat is Column Shift, and I dont care for it. I want the flow through console.
