Tool alignment during assembly. Not to mention the later models had so much crap in the engine bay... The earlier the model the fox body, the less holes.

Here is my latest POS... I hope to drive it this weekend after being down for nearly 3 months.

Built turbo/nitrous motor, full roller transbraked c4, tube k-member blah blah blah. Shooting for mid to low 9's tagged/insured/inspected by the end of this year once I have everything completed.

I don't have photos handy of them. But...

My work car, is actually my wife's 2000 Ford Focus SE Sedan. There is a reason I don't have pics. It's a beater. I have the pieces to put it back together mostly though. Just need to get into the garage and start unbolting the bashed parts and screwing good ones on, then sand, fill, prime, sand, fill, prime, sand, fill, repeat as neccesary until surface ready to paint...

I am planning on putting 17" rims and decent rubber on this car, adding an O.E.M. rear wing, driving lights, decent audio system, and doing the blackout thing to it.

My wife's work car is actually my 2001 Saturn SL2 former Enterprise Rent A Car el cheapo. I got a steal on it, and it runs good... I have some former body repair issues to address, and then new paint. This car has a K&N CAI, and a custom bent stainless exhaust with a Monza muffler / dual tips. Future plans are Ford Jalapeno Green / Chrysler Burn Orange paint scheme, fill antenna mount hole in trunk lid and smoothe, replace broken factory wing, add driving lights, 17" rims, good rubber, and a good sound system.

We are doing some home improvements this year, so it will have to wait another year, BUT... I am in discussion with a relative to purchase their '05 Lincoln Navigator fully loaded, with 3 accross rear center seat instead of console (Kids thing). Not too crazy about something that big, in all black, but the A/C does the job pretty nicely... That I will likely put on 22s with G-Force TAs. I believe the size I was looking at was 325/40R22.

Z28? Are you sure? Even a 97 Z28 has a 5.7l LT1 V8 making 300RWHP stock with bad cats. My bud just got one bone stock and dyno'd it. It also runs high 13's at the track.

The 98-02 models are even more powerful with the LS1's in them.
If it was a V6, it's not a Z28. All Z28 or SS models have V8's, or it might have been a poser with a V6 and a Z28 badge.

That's at the engine right? Stock LT1's are pushing 300RWHP. WAY faster.

Besides that, this F150 is my only vehicle and DD.

Not to say that it would get beat by a T-bone (most likely any modern V6 would whoop it, though), but there were Z28's before '97... for the Gen3 '92 was the pinnacle at 225HP... IIRC... and that was with a 350 TPI...

I drove this for about four months until I had my one and only accident thus far. The insurance totaled it, but I did get back more than what I paid for the car But boy do I miss that thing. I could drive all over the place with my friends and never have to fill it up. I sure do miss her...

After the wreck...

It was a lot worse in person . . . the air bags deployed and everything

Thanks Yeah as much time as I spend wrenching on GNs a lift is a necessity. My back can't take laying on concrete floors any more. It makes pulling engines and transmissions so much easier.

They are even more fun now with the modern mods that are available.I run 26psi of boost with 93 octane and alcohol injection on the street and drag strip. It's crazy.

82-89 Z28- Highest output was a mere 225 with the suffocating TPI 350 5.7

90-92- Z28 245HP, 330 Trq. L98

93-97 Z28- Aluminum headed LT1 made 275HP

98-02 Z28- Saw a variety, but most likely the 346 LS1. upwards of 325HP

no tibby hung with any of these cars
