I really do appreciate what you are trying to do here. Honestly. It shows that you are passionate and whether the unsaved know it or not, it shows that you care about them.

However...

Internet evangelism is about the least effective way I know of to communicate the Gospel to people. It's too easy for someone you are witnessing to to blow you off because they are at some level just arguing with words on a screen. They can't hear the passion in your voice, or tonal inflections that communicate volumes more than type writing. It becomes an issue of who can prove their point rather than listening to what you are really saying. An athiest or agnostic can come up with just as many reasons for disbelief as you can for belief.

As I look through the posts here (mine included from days gone by), it's obvious that there are several people here that are just toying with you all, and could care less about repenting from their sin and trusting Christ. As Bible thumpers, you should know that when you encounter these people, your only obligation is to tell them the Good News, and if they refuse to hear it, shake the dust off your feet and move on. You have fulfilled your calling, and your efforts will be better used on those who already know that they are "sick". Their idea of what a God should be is not who God is, and therefore they will not accept Him. People like Buck sadden me because they hold God accountable for not making the world go the way he wished it would go. Losing your family to a horrible disease or accident can blind you to the fact that life is what it is, and not how you dream it should be.

Let me also share this with you my brothers... The Bible NEVER tells us that life will get better and our problems will disapear when we accept Christ. In fact, we are promised tribulation of every kind, heartbreak, and shunning by most people INCLUDING our own family. We as Christians are to find our joy in the peace of knowing Christ. It's a peace that surpasses ALL understanding, but the only people who don't understand are those who aren't saved. There is no way you can come to a message board and explain the un-explainable. It's even harder when you confuse them with the facts that they refuse to search out for themselves because they choose to be schooled by the History Channel and the like.

Please, consider using the time you're mostly wasting here and go find people personally to witness to. It's much more effective, and even though the majority of people will still not listen, you will build your faith so much more through personal and street evangelism. At the very least, use the time you waste here to read your Bible instead. It will pay of a great deal more than this place as far as witnessing is concerned. God doesn't need you to prove His existence. He's doing just fine on His own.

Check out some of these sites for some truly effective ministry as well. They will bless you greatly because they are designed for believers. Let's use the F150Online site for trucks.

Sorry... I'm far from a bible thumper. I don't post bible scripture and "preach" on the internet. I'm merely debating with someone that has a conflicting view. Debating is fun and educates both sides. I'd sit and talk with any of the guys I'm arguing with; although I wouldn't talk politics or religion. I refuse to do such in person bc it usually ends in an argument. If you've read some of my posts I don't say anyone who believes in something and treats people fairly are going to Hell. I don't think your religion or your belief in God gets you to Heaven. Believing and living your life like a higher being created us is; for lack of a better statement, good enough. I don't think God is going to punish someone raised buddhists because they don't believe in God. Thanks for your concern though. I'll continue Debating... I'm not doing it to change minds; it's more to get people to THINK!! I would never be so arrogant to think I'm "witnessing" to save someones soul... that is rediculous!

 

Every other part of this website is for trucks.... Come on and let us post about religion and politics in the GENERAL DISCUSSION FORUM. We talk about other stuff too. Every once in a while someone mentions something about a vehicle.
