show us your fish tanks

guys, I need some inspiration, I've been into fish for the past 5 years and I'm kinda burned out, hopefully you will inspire me

it all started with a 10g nano reef, I was very successful with it and setup a 2.5g pico reef that only lasted 3 months. after that I picked up a free acrylic 40g that I almost had setup for reef but then I moved... so away went the 10g and 40g which now sit in storage along with a free drilled RR 50g than need new silicon, I also bought and sold a 90g that I never had room for, and after I moved I aquaired my dads 55g FW which I have had running for about two years. but now I'm in the process of draining the sparse 55g and setting up a 20g planted tank and 3.5g reef......

anyone else got the fish bug?

lets see some tank shots

that picture of the 46 gallon is about 3 months old. Pretty much all the aptasia is gone. I bought a few peppermint shrimp and they ate it all. I only have a clown fish and a Spotted mandarin. I am sumpless and skimmerless so I am keeping the bio load low. I am going to set up a rimless 36"x24"x18" 65 gallon tank here pretty soon.

I ran a 10g with a HEAVY bioload sumpless and skimmerless, leathers and xenia grew like you wouldn't believe, then came the flatworm problem... that was the end

oh yeah...I have a slight brown/red flatworm problem right now. I am pretty sure the madarin should eat them. At least I hope so. I might have to get soem flat worm exit and see if that helps.

Oh no! Sytx you didn't loose that killer tank setup did you? I've been debating a another tank since I lost both my 125 and 80's in a garage fire. Course being in kansas I get cool fish like blue channel cats and carp. Weee!

I don't think I aver had a killer tank setup, they were all pretty mediocre, right now i'm working on my 20G planted tank, that should be killer once I get the 55w PC, XP1 and CO2

I've always had freshwater tanks but haven't had one in a while. I've been wanting to move to saltwater but I don't seem to stay in one place long enough to set one up. Hoping to buy a house later this year and settle, then I can get something set up. Nice tanks you guys have on here though.

Wow, I think you have just inspired me to get a salt water tank. I love to dive and snorekel. I am acctually takin my wife diving in two week, I usually go on my own and leave her at the beach, but now she wants to come We have talked about getting a tank a few times, but it looks like a lot of work. I would love to bring the reef into my living room..Is it a lot of work??

It isnt too hard. The key is to have knowledge of whats going on in the tank. If you have zero experience it woudl be benificial to read up on the subject before buying something. I learned a lot from message forums. Reefcentral is a good one. I also go to a local saltwater fishtank message board. The only thing I have to do with my 46 gallon is add water about once every two days and feed the fish once a day. Then about every two weeks I do a 5 gallon water change.

saltwater is easy once you get over the somewhat advanced learning curve.... and sticker shock. expect to pay $100 a gallon for a propperly equiped and stocked tank

100 gallon freshwater. African cichlids. I've been keeping aquarium fish for around 13 years.

It would be quite messy if one of my guns accidently fired into one of those fish tanks, that is why I don't have any in my house.........
