Ive been working at the Front Desk of a Marriott for the past couple of years, and although its a great company to work for, I'm beginning to look for a new scene. Theres a few dealers here that a hiring for porter work, just looking to see if any of you have done it, or know anyone that has done it. And is the pay any good??

 

I was a porter at Barrington Dodge for about 3 weeks when I was 18. That job sucked bad. It was July and I had to wash about 30 neons a day, the worst part was they were all fleet so very few had A/C. I think I made $7.50, I guess I lied about the worst part being no A/C. The worst part was I was the only white boy working there, 1 vato called me casper on the first day and that is all anyone would call me the whole time I worked there. There were also alot of douchecanoe salesmen there too. F### that job.

 

Worked one summer as a detail tech at an autobody shop. Same deal, ****ty *******ing job with lousy pay, even by summer work standards. Got to drive some nice cars, but sure wasnt worth it. Only good thing that came outta that job was I was damn determined to finish college
