I tried not to laugh at that "Miami Vice Edition" jab, but I must admit, I had to chuckle a little but- even though I do like your truck, and have given your props on it in the past.

Back on task though...

So, what- aside from your opinion, makes a Tundra an "unwise" expenditure of one's money? It's not like our beloved F-150's are flawless. Some may consider an F-150 an unwise purchase. Whether it be due to a flaky tailgate and sludge prone engines (Tundra) or cracked doors and kabooming spark plugs (F-150).

Exactly- it's all opinions. My point was, given the classy look of the neighborhood, if the Tundra owner lives there, he or she could afford most anything they wanted, and they chose the Tundra. That either means, the Tundra was all they could afford, or they think the Tundra was the best vehicle for their money.

Or, it could mean they just like the Tundra. After all, how dull woudl the world be, if we ALL drove F-150's...

If you want to see "tools" destroy a beautiful car, pick up an isse of Heavy Hitter's magazine, and look at all the tools in there, with money to burn, ricing out their Bentley Continental GT's, Bentley Flying Spurs, S550's, and more. Think about Lowrider magazine, but- this is for folks with serious money.

So you definitely never drone one, or read a single review, did you? I have, and I can say with confidence that vehicle was unreasonably slow. The power band was, well, not there, and it was one of the cheapest, most boring SUVs I have ever driven...ESPECIALLY given the absurd price tag. There is a reason the sales figures weren't all that great despite the fanboys.

Well, for starters, no crap some people won't like my truck for being lowered, why would I care? I modify my vehicles to suit my tastes, and I also happen to know that my taste won't fit 100% of peoples' taste, but it sure as hell is not even remotely close to "ricey" on any level. The Miami Vice "joke" was exactly that, a joke. It didn't even make sense... my truck and Miami Vice have about as much in common as myself and hillary Clinton.

But back on point, yeah it would be boring if we all drove F150s, and yeah I realize everyone has different taste, but at the end of the day the Tundra is one ugly beast and the F150 is not.

I personally have a strong belief that it is important to buy American vehicles (Yeah, I realize some "American" cars are built in other places in N America, but that's only because they can't afford to stay in the USA because of Unions and disloyal Americans...but I digress).

Are some Yotas built in America? You bet. But the MAJORITY of the proceeds and taxed proceeds are still going to Japan- not America. They are building Japanese roads, and schools, and infrastructure, and we are left back home with a couple new low pay jobs and not a whole lot else to gain.

As long as the option exists, I will continue to support my country by buying American. It means something to *me* and that's one of the biggest reasons I have an issue with Yotas....well that and the fact that they are without a doubt one of the most over-rated, and over-valued products in the history of the world due to a ridiculously bloated false perception of quality indifferences.

I would rather pay less up front and keep my money in my pockets knowing my resale might be a bit lower (In my experience, it hasn't been, but I understand for most it is) than pay WAY more up front and then "get it back" later. Time value of money....

Bingo, all except the thing about the unions. The only union drawback is USA and Canada have them, foreign do not (mostly). Therefore, negotiations netted benefits for it's members, whereas the other companies give worker's the bare minimum and parade around like king, nope, just cheap. No-one, companies included, would be bitching if market share was the opposite, but hardly anyone grasps the fact that they need to dominate each segment. Unions don't control the design of the car, just build em. We build what we can so designers and engineers???????????

I'd love to be accused of Miami-vicing my ride, driving around in Ferrari's and Cigarette boats. Sounds good to me. Maybe buddy was thinking of the Fast and Furious? Still doesn't apply in Lumadar's case, how is tasteful customizing and lowering "ricing"?

So, essentially- what you're saying is- you have a right to your opinion, and other's have a right to there's? Right?
