My family lived here for a good chunk of time. Any questions, feel free to ask ! I couldn't be happier with where i live. I plan to retire up to the Mt. Shasta/Mt. Lassen area once the time comes.
^^^ sounds like there area's I mentioned may be more up your alley. Having big old loud hogs and what not wouldn't be a problem, nor would having neigbors! You can get a pad that doesn't have ANY neighbors!!! then let the parties begin.
oops.... too late

But close to the bay and also either North or South the housing prices are pretty steep.
yeah, i cant stand to go to the valley in the summertime. price wise i think the north bay is your best bet...too high and you get way too hickish, a little south(gilroy, salinas, santa cruz) is nice but any further south and the prices just start going up.

back on topic..
madmax, there is a good night life in Modesto
DRJ-that might be true but im only 20-4 months to go- ive heard that theres good clubs and bars but personaly thats not enought to make me want to move out there...the bay has plenty of those
I'm assuming the gearbox/shifter linkage and steering linkage are the only 2 things that get extended? Is there a noticable play in the steering wheel now (mine already has enough play as it is). I'm going to install the lift sometime soon with a member here on the forums.
I got a stick.. so it sits low now, I personally like it like that.... but the steering extension was a PIA!! probably the toughest part of the whole install! but it's because I didn't have the right allen wrench for it
the gas tank feeder tube and the radiator reservoir tube have to be extended as well.. as well as a few other things but those aren't too bad. Make sure to have a couple good jacks, I used house jacks for mine
if you need 'em hit me up! (actually I gotta check to see if I still got them laying around :o )
Mr. Madmax.. THAT SUX 4 U! I know exactly what it's like!! after that golden moment ...
