hawaii warriors

They proved that they do not deserve to play with the big boys. And to think their "bro" QB was even considered as a heisman winner....

Florida is going to be tough next year. With both Tebow and Harvin coming back.

If they were to line up and play Georgia again next week, it would not be as lopsided.

Georgia is by far the better team, but when you have a team that plays no one all year long, they have no way to adequately prepare for the game.

You see it in bowl games every year.. teams that played powderpuff schedules get run over by middle of the road power conference schools, because they don't understand. the coaches look at the tape, etc, but they do not have a valid frame of reference.

OSU - Indiana was another good example this year. Indiana played no one this year, so they were totally unprepared for a mid level Big XII team with a top 10 offense. Hawaii suffered through the same thing against Georgia. Georgia was the biggest, fastest team they played all year, and a lot bigger and faster than their next most difficult opponent.

The coaches had no frame of reference to work from, and it cause the other team to be a little shell shocked.

Hawaii should have played Illinois, and Georgia should have played USC.

and Missouri should have gone to the BCS instead of Kansas!

(off soapbox)

Its not like Brennen's O-line helped him out any either. He got destroyed from the opening whistle, till he got hurt.

Not to belittle the man or add insult to injury, but was Colt Brennan crying on the side lines during the 4th quarter?

True. But then there is the money... sponsers of the bowl games as well as the schools aren't about to give that up. Anyone notice that the Peach bowl disappeared? Chick-Fil-A somehow did away with the original name. What happened to the Citrus Bowl? Is that the old name of the Capital One Bowl?

Yeah the Capitol one bowl is played in the citrus bowl stadium.

They could still sponsor all these games even if they were playoff games. Instead of taking 3 weeks off until the bowl games they could use the extra time to play 3 games. Take the top 8 teams and let them play eatchother until it comes down to the last two. They can still play these games in the same place they play the BCS bowl games.

A Playoff could be set up VERY easily. The hardest part would be getting the sponsers set up, and getting them in order. This BCS system is complete crap, and its getting VERY VERY old. LSU and Ohio are playing for the National Title, but as of right this moment, Georgia and USC should be playing for it. That would have been a great game to see!

That's right, it's all about the money when it should be all about the teams.

I was in Hawaii this whole past week on vaction and all I heard was Hawaii was gonna throw all over Georgia. I kept telling them that their was no way the QB was gonna have time to throw. The bulldogs were to fast and big for Hawaii. They haven't played anybody worth mentioning. Some even agreed with me that Hawaii was gonna get smoked but they were proud that there boys got into the Sugar Bowl.
