Will they stand behind it?

OK, I have a set of 20" American Racing Wheels on my truck that I bought about 4 months ago from Discount tire, they gave me a 1 year Cosmetic warranty, well they are starting to peel!! What do you think they will do about it? I plan on taking them off and cleaning them before I show them to the shop So it isnt obvious that I have been doing some heavy offroading

Goodness that's some nasty mud. Makes me want to suit up and get the dirtbike out!

Can't say about Discount tire though...I'd say if the peeling isn't obvious that it's from pinging off of rocks, then they should stand behind them. I've had good experience with DT in the past.

Of course you have to ask yourself if the peeling is from your own abuse or a manufacturers defect and how it all plays into your own personal conscience and acceptance of responsibility. That picture hardly shows the peeling so it's tough to say from my chair.

Post up some pics of the peeling. On clean wheels. Then you can get our opinion.
Like gixxerjasen said... if it's obvious the peeling is due to "neglect", don't count DT coming thru on a warranty replacement.

If there are scratches on the wheel that look like you've been spinning the tires in mud, I'm guessing they're gonna tell you you're SKREWD.

That's why you don't mud with chrome wheels, or any wheel you like. Get some cheap steel wheels for off-rading and keep the nice ones for the street.

Hopefully you'll get lucky and DT won't know any better.

Those wheels look like Edward Kennedy after a two week whiskey binge. I think you should eat that set and do as aforementioned; buy a cheap set for your off road "activities".

I say try to get them replaced. If not oh well. Its a truck that goes off road. A few battle scars never hurt anything!

Shine the living **** out of them inside and out, and then do your truck and go back and talk to them. They most likely will do some thing if your real nice and don't offer too much information.
