Bigfoot is a Ford.

anything with a Toyota logo won't be accepted by the masses as a real Bigfoot. They could be making abig mistake.

They won't go to Toyota. Japanese people don't like Monster Jam, it's an American thing. They will likely do something else, but I seriously doubt Toyota.

I bet next would be dodge, because of their "BIG TRUCK" appeal. They cant go toyota, the frame might snap.

yeah, they put a lot of money into NASCAR and people are still not jazzed about about it.

takes a lot more than money to win the hearts of Americans

WEll the types of Americans Monster trucks and Nascar brings atleast. Here in Houston last year at Monster Jam Hispanics were by far the largest group in attendance. I got to see monster trucks with spinners and neon lights. Im not going back this year... Wonder what other great childhood memories of mine can be F ed up.

The current 'Ford' Bigfoots are only 'Fords' in the sense that they have a blue logo on the sticker they put on the body panel. OK, *technically* they have a Ford engine in them, but it's not anything that resembles anything you or I can find in a Ford truck... 572 cubes making 1200-1500 ponies, purchased from Ford Motorsports and assembled by Dixon Innovations.

I'd be surprised if they dropped the blue oval. It'd be the worst thing that ever happened to them. I don't know how much Ford actually contributes to them anymore, but I would be surprised if they get their Ford goodies for free anyways. Probably a decent discount, but I doubt it's free stuff.

If Toyota wants to pony-up, that's all fine and dandy, but do they make anything remotely near that large or powerful of an engine?

Did ya even read the article? It confirms that they are no longer doing business with Ford...

22 December 2007 - It is with great disappointed that we announce an ending to a long and successful relationship with Ford Motor Company

And JBMX, they sold that truck.

Lowlights:

- Loss of long-time mechanic and friend, Roy Hooser.
- Auction of 10’ Tire BIGFOOT due to closure of Race Rock in Orlando, FL.
- Loss of long-time monster truck driver and friend, Dave Harkey.
- Crash of BIGFOOT #16 on its second weekend out.
- End of our 23-year relationship with Ford Motor Company.

Who really cares about this stuff? It doesn't affect me at all that Ford is no longer a part of some extremely modified vehicle anyway. I would rather Ford sponsor some type of trophy truck for the Baja 1000.

When I was a kid, I thought the Bigfoot trucks were cool, but not so much anymore.

It has a huge fan base of younger kids. I still enjoy it, but mainly when I go I see young boys dragging dad out to see the cool trucks
