i HATE dealerships

so my truck was making a funky noise around the engine so i took it to the dealership. They claimed that my rear end was out and that they wouldnt fix it under warrenty becasue i had a BODY lift and that it changed the angle of the DRIVE SHAFT!!! (impossible!) so my dad said ya'll are idiots, hopped in my truck and drove off. came home, put a new bearing in the BELT Tentioner (nothing to do with the rear end?) and if solved the hole problem...

#1 they thought it was the rear end?? nothing to do with the problem
#2 they thought that a BODY lift would change the angle of the drive shaft
#3 they wouldnt do it under warrenty becasue of how stupid they were?

We'll never go to that Ford dealership again... HA

I don't work at a dealership, but where I do work, I could never even begin to make excuses about why I could not do what my clients pay me to do.

Maybe it just comes down to personal pride.

i went to a dealership to get a sound checked out coming from the engine....they told me proabbly the rear end too....then i told them it wasnt coming from the drivetrain...and they told me to go take it to some random exhaust shop to have them check it out. I only have 13000 miles on my truck and under the full waranty and they tell me to go to some random place cause they didnt want to do it.

and ford is wondering why its custermers are leaving due to there servises.

As much as I like Ford, Ford does have a huge problem when it comes to pleasing there customers. Why would a dealership **** off there customers? Ford really needs to fix this problem.

If I were to start to in on the stupid things the dealer has told me I the list would take up the entire thread. I have two dealers close by that I go back and forth to and usually between the both of them I can get things fixed. It's just a shame that I have to take it to two places to get the job done.

The most recent is one dealer said that the spark plugs absolutely have no problems with breaking off in the 04+ trucks, it was the previous body style that has that problem and there is no reason to change them out before 100k miles.

I had an Infiniti G35 that I leased for three years... I sold it after a year...

Why?

A) Got tired of the car.
B) Every BMW on the road wanted to race.
C) Because every time I took the car in for the simplest things, I always (as in EVERY TIME) had to take it back for them to fix the thing they messed up.

As far as I am concerned, service is key!!! I was looking to by a different Infiniti for my wife, but after the second visit I decided that was not going to happen. After the third vist (sixth counting the times I had to take it back because they messed something up each time) I said the hell with this is BS and sold the car!!! The funny thing was JD Power rated them TOPS in Service that year... JD Power does not carry much weight with me!!!
