I am going to be getting the wireless adapter this evening (if I can find one in stock at my local gamestop)for my Xbox 360. My question is, the main reason Im doing this is to get the patches downloaded for my old Xbox games, will my xbox live silver membership allow this or will I have to upgrade to Gold? also, is the Gold membership worth it, Im not big into multiplayer games, but could be...any info would be appreciated...

 

I think Gold is worth it at ~$4/month if you get the 12 month subscription. I only use it once every month or so but usually for 4-6 hours. There's a lot of different games you can play, but for me Halo slayer, team, and co-op modes on Live take the game to a whole new level. It makes it different everytime so that it's not the old get through the game a couple of times and you've done it all. It gives games new life.

As for silver, i think it is free so if you don't decide on Gold right away you can at least play with it to see if you get the updates for your games. I think it does, but can't say with certainty.

 

Thanks Crowe....Im going to play around with the Silver tonight and see....maybe I'll ask for the Gold for my birthday coming up...My stepson got Halo 3, Ive played but it just doesnt seem that interesting to me...
