Santa brought my nephew Guitar Hero today..

HOLY CRAP!! SOOOOOO much fun!! LOL

Yeah, okay so he's only 9 years old, but he's practiced on a friends playstation before, but I KICKED HIS BUTT!!..

LOL.. Very cool game, nice songs to try and "play".. just a very good game for pretty much all ages.

My friend got "Rock Band" which is essentially the same, but it comes with two guitars a set of drums and a microphone. Suprisingly enough the game actually helps me with my finger dexterity when i play a real guitar.

 

my stepson got guitar hero III for his birthday in November, he has played it twice...now it collects dust in the corner behind the TV....we're too busy playing Madden or Assasins creed....

 

My little brother can play almost any stringed instrument you give him, he can then play any song on it after he hears the first verse he starts playing, after he has heard the song once, then he plays it. But on guitar hero he sucks. He said he was trying to play the song the way it should actually be played on a guitar and thats not how it works. They say for players it's easier in advanced mode because it's "closer" to the song. He was playing with some of his friends from his church, anytime I meet someone from there and they find out I'm his brother, they rave about how awesome he is on the guitar. But on the game they were making fun of him because he sucks, he was like yea... but I can play it on the real thing!

 

Got my son guitar hero 2 and a wireless guitar for ps2 for one of his Christmas presents. He's 10. He and his sister (18) love it. My son is a lefty though, but you can change sides in options to acommodate. I love the game too. Very fun.
I get to look like a rock and roll clown, I mean an ***, and they kids think it's cool. Well, sort of. I was playing and kicking stuff, mostly air.

 

We need videos. We know your kid(s) have great taping skills from your roush clips.

If only I had some sort of coordination,my reaction time is nonexistent.The nephews and niece got Rock band and they love it.

 

It's more fun learning on the real thing.



Of course, I look only slightly less retarded figuring out a real guitar rather than Guitar Hero, but still, I'll take what I can get.

 

im not gonna attack you here but i love the losers online thatll go and flame guitar hero fans and act like theyre all cool cuz they can play the real guitar. That's like a pro MX rider going and insulting someone that plays Mx Vs ATV. Lol seriously its a game. I got GH3 for pc a month ago, tons of fun. Kinda not playing it much tho right now, need to wait for my new vid card so i can actually play it cuz sometimes it is too choppy to play.

 

Consoles are better than PC's at playing games.

 

Wait till you get into the "expert" level!!!! I don't play real guitar but if you can play it on expert, I wouldn't be suprised that the leap to real guitar wouldn't be that hard!!

We compared my machine to the xbox on the same exact monitor using a couple different games like Bioshock and COD4. NO comparision, the PC blew the xbox away.
