I have a feeling I can gain alot tweaking the texture and shader cvars

All this talk made me start itching to upgrade. I just ordered the E6850, Asus P5K-SE, 2gb kit of Crucial BallistiX PC2-8500 and the XFX 8800GT 512/Alpha Dog XXX. Hopefully it will be here by the New Year and I'll be able to then play COD4 with everything set to high.

I used Memory Express. I used to live in Calgary and always shopped there so I still use them even though I moved away. Their prices are pretty even with newegg so I might as well shop somewhat locally. They've gotten plenty of my money in the past so I might as well keep giving it to them.

All the guys I game with use newegg too and had no problems. I have nothing against them and wouldnt hesitate recommending them to anyone. I just prefer to keep buying from the store I've always bought from.
Plus I'm in Canada so shipping wouldn't be that fast. If it's sent UPS then UPS screws you on brokerage fees. If sent postal then it takes weeks. If I get it sent to my address in the States then I still have to pay tax and duty on it to bring it back here so I wouldn't be saving anything.

that'll be a very nice setup, you'll be able to get 3.4Ghz easy on the processor and the ram will do 1050mhz with 4-4-4-12 timings easy sometimes I run 4-4-4-8
