Xmas Presents...

i decided to buy a navigation system for my truck...i was looking at tomtom special edition from bestbuy...is tomtom good or not and where are yall mounting your navi systems...

i personally like garmin GPS...tom tom is good though

the garmin is out of my price range...the tomtom is on sale for $150...just noticed that ur from beaumont, tx...same here...

I sell GPS' and tomtom's suck man. I would not recomend one at all. Get a garmin. Go to your local circuit city and pick up a nuvi200 its on sale for $199. You get a WAY better unit out of the garmin trust me man. As far as poi's maps and overall usability garmin is the way to go. If you dont want to pick up the extra $50 bucks then get a Magellan 1200. Same price as the tomtom and still a WAY better unit and way easier to use. Plus it also comes with numbers in poi as does the garmin. you wont find that on a tomtom

I recommend the MIO C520.... only $200 and you get text-to-speech, bluetooth hands free calling, widescreen.

It's $300 in Canada but I'll get it from Ebay

my neighbor had a tomtom unit unopened that he didnt want, so he gave it to me. I dont care if its not the best, its a brand new nav unit and it was FREE. ill take it.

yeah i decided to go with the garmin nuvi200...its on sale at bestbuy for $225...wheres the best place to mount it...?

shoulda gone to cc it would have saved you 26 bucks As far as mounting do you plan on hardwiring it or just running it straight to your cig lighter.

i cant go to cc because my cousin gave me a $50 gift card to bestbuy...im going to hardwire it...
